ABSTRACT

A key feature of the “new transatlanticism” is the networked nature of the many actors both in and out of government. This chapter provides a detailed inventory and analysis of the current architecture of the new transatlanticism, including tables of framework and sectoral agreements and fora. Separate sections discuss the intergovernmental, transgovernmental, and transnational levels, providing examples of each type. The extent to which and the enthusiasm with which the three levels of new transatlanticism relations have operated and been conducted has varied both between policy areas and over time.
