I have always felt passionately about the texts that we offer to children. There are some extremely talented and sensitive illustrators and authors who write with children in mind, and part of my job as an early years educator is ensuring that children are able to choose from a wide range of possibilities, to find the text that is right for them. Part of my delight as a grandmother is to share texts with my grandchildren, Zack and Ayah, purely for the joy of deepening our relationship and sharing experiences together.
