ABSTRACT

Academic librarians have delivered resources and services in m-learning environments since the introduction of laptops and cell phones. As mobile devices become ubiquitous, and an increasing number of people can acquire Internet-based information through such devices, academic librarians reconsider their services and resources to fit into the m-learning environment. Academic librarians improve assistance for faculty and students in their learning and research endeavors by making online library catalogs, databases, subject guides, and e-book collections, and 24/7 reference services available for mobile devices will enable academic librarians to assist. Enabled by a collegial professional culture, academic librarians prepare the fertile ground for application of mobile devices in education.
