ABSTRACT
Ideally, every display would have lighting designed by a specialist lighting consultant. In practice, this is rarely possible. But good lighting design can transform an otherwise dull display. To redesign the lighting and the labelling is often all that is needed to make an old-fashioned gallery seem renewed.
