ABSTRACT
Population movement, or the phenomenon of migration, is as old as humanity itself, and has played a crucial role in shaping the world as we know it. In recent years such migration has gained prominence on the international agenda because of its increasing scale and the consequences such movements have for international affairs, including security concerns of states.
