ABSTRACT
Writing in the New York Times, educator Randall Stross (2012) recently noted that his long dream of the creation of a software program to help students learn to write may be close to reality. In dreams begin responsibilities, and so this present edited collection is offered to define and explicate the promises and complexities that occur when technologies advance to the point where they appear to be able to do what humans do.
