ABSTRACT
I’m very glad to join you here today and want to thank Salford University for organising this conference. It’s always very valuable to bring together human rights defenders, and those who think, write and organise around human rights, so that we share our experiences and learn from each other – both within this country and with our friends and comrades internationally.
