ABSTRACT

The kinematics of throwing is measured following biomechanical principles, or the study of the human body in motion. Essentially, there are four areas within the biomechanics discipline; developmental biomechanics, biomechanics of exercise and sport, rehabilitative biomechanics and occupational biomechanics. Each of these disciplines relate directly to athletes, either their activities of daily living (when they are not competing) and ultimately their competition. In order to study the human body in motion the kinematic measures rely heavily on technology to quantify this activity.
