ABSTRACT

From 28 October to 11 November 2006, the thirteenth occurrence of the CaDance Festival took place in The Hague, the Netherlands. According to the festival programme, CaDance is a modern dance festival where the audience can admire works by both young talented choreographers and experienced makers, which are performed by young dancers at the start of their career as well as by acclaimed and experienced dancers. Mirjam van der Linden, a Dutch reviewer, wrote in the daily newspaper De Volkskrant of 10 November:

In dance, all attention is drawn to the body. As we could see again, it is the power of the flesh, the physical intuition that distinguishes dance from other art disciplines.1
