ABSTRACT
In a sense, you have been reading a history book, actually a book on future history as we considered what the future of tourism may be as it confronts a whole new world with unique challenges and threats along with some facilitators. Tourism experts have crystal ball-gazed to assess precedents and current trends, and even future trends to take a futuristic view of tourism in the context of contemporary and looming world conditions in this dramatically challenging third millennium.
