ABSTRACT

Public transport to the [Paralympic] Games [at Olympic Park] was a breeze and terrific value, with the Goalball ticket including a free Travelcard from right outside London. To enter the Park, we walked through the brand-new Westfield [Stratford City Shopping Centre], which has such a light, airy atmosphere. Just before going into the Park, we stopped off at John Lewis and bought souvenirs. The Olympic souvenirs shop in John Lewis was lovely, with a nice choice of souvenirs, all clearly laid out and reasonably priced … We had a super day at the Games; the volunteers worked so hard to make sure that we had a great time. The so-called ‘Megastore’ was a bit of a disappointment, though.
