ABSTRACT

The Bach Ma National Park (BMNP) is located in the Greater Annamite ecoregion, in the northern part of the Truong Son mountain range. The park is part of the last unbroken green corridor running from the coast on the South China Sea to the border with Lao PDR (Tran and Ziegler, 2001). Bach Ma National Park covers a diverse range of forest habitats and includes much of the remaining forest in the Central Truong Son range, supporting some of the last lowland forests in Vietnam and a wide range of endemic and endangered species. As such, it has been integrated in WWF’s Global 200 ecoregions as one of the world’s most biologically outstanding habitats (WWF, 2006).
