ABSTRACT
The effects of climate change have the potential to significantly devastate both the natural and built assets of tourism (Agnew and Viner 2001; Becken 2007; Becken, Simmons and Hart 2003; Hall and Higham 2005; Hall 2006; Garnaut 2008; Harrison, Winterbottom and Sheppard 1999; Nurse 2008, 2007). This includes the strong possibility for this key industry sector to not only be affected by, but also have a considerable impact upon global warming and other changes in climate (Hall and Higham 2005, Becken 2007).
