ABSTRACT

The latest IPCC reports (IPCC 2007) concluded that the climate is changing. It is highly likely that the climate will continue to change in the future, even though the rate of change cannot be predicted accurately, except perhaps for the immediate future. For a large part this is due to uncertainties in the climate system and in the amount of greenhouse gases that will be emitted in the future. These uncertainties can be interpreted in different ways, which is why climate models produce widely diverging climate projections.
