The WWF RIPPLE project (Rivers Involving People, Places and Leading by Example), Ulster, Northern Ireland

This chapter describes the development and implementation of a community-led catchment plan in Northern Ireland. The work was led by an environmental charity and delivered largely by volunteer catchment champions. For this book, this case study provides illustrations of the possible strengths and weaknesses of a community-led and locally-based catchment planning process.
