ABSTRACT

In Parts I and II of the book we have explored theoretical perspectives of difference and narrative ways of knowing, and provided 15 stories about difference and (in)equality in a wide range of physical activity contexts. Here we aim to illuminate ways in which you might engage with the narratives by linking them to your personal experiences and to different theoretical lenses. We believe that by working with narratives in this way it is possible to examine our all-too-often taken-for-granted values and understandings of the social worlds we inhabit, and stimulate professional, critical reflection about educational practice.
