ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at the contributions which systemic and gender sensitive thinking make to analysing male and female roles in the world of paid employment. The specific organisational focus is social services, the individuals involved social work managers and practitioners, and the work content, child sexual abuse. The impact of gender difference on the relationship between workers and the effect this has on the work system itself (and therefore on the service) is explored through a small-scale research study and through the analysis of case conference material.
