ABSTRACT

The 1970s saw another influx of British ex-colonials coming to the country. The Asians from Uganda, India and Pakistan came for protection due to the political unrest in their countries. Most of them looked upon Britain as their only hope and security. Some of these people already had enjoyed being a privileged class in their country and expected to be treated likewise here. Unexpectedly, they experienced being treated as secondclass citizens mainly through the racial and cultural background.
