ABSTRACT
The assessment of neuropsychological and cognitive function of children with epilepsy is complicated by alterations in consciousness, drug sideeffects and emotional factors. For every one of these children there is a set of intricately linked parameters affecting their cognitive function and test performance. This chapter will address this relationship, its importance and how it influences the choice of methods of assessment and interpretation of test results.
