ABSTRACT
This chapter provides examples of current and past adventure therapy programs that have been implemented with various clients. Adventure therapy addresses issues of prevention (e.g., adolescent substance abuse prevention, high school dropout prevention, underachieving adolescents, reintegration program for soldiers returning from combat situations) and treatment (e.g., adjudicated populations, adolescent sex offenders, alternative public schools).
