ABSTRACT
This chapter tackles the history coordinator’s central concerns: how to develop an interest in history teaching through discussion and debate; the methodology for effective teaching and learning of history; and how to resource effectively to support the attainment target and programme of study. As a relatively inexperienced professional taking over the role of history coordinator it will be useful to reflect on the change in the quality and quantity of history teaching your colleagues will have experienced in primary schools over the last five years.
