ABSTRACT

This chapter gives information about the types of interventions that dramatherapists based in schools provide and the reported outcomes. The sources used to gather the material are reports prepared by The British Association of Dramatherapists, using data obtained from surveys and questionnaires and a review of selected relevant dramatherapy literature. The latter is restricted to articles and chapters written in the English language and published by British publishers. Texts that meet these criteria but provide accounts of dramatherapy as practised worldwide are included; priority is given to those that include reports of evidence-based practice and/or are research-based. The emphasis of this chapter is on the services provided by dramatherapists and therapy outcomes rather than the therapy processes.
