ABSTRACT
The number of full-time staff journalists a magazine employs varies enormously from one publication to the next. An international news magazine such as Time has the budget to pay the huge staff it needs to provide in-depth global news coverage. The emphasis is on writing and reporting with high-quality photography and graphics. Gathering news widely for a publication with several geographically separate editions as well as several websites is a labour-intensive task.
