ABSTRACT
While most articles in this handbook are on climate change itself and its likely impacts, this article focuses on a different angle: the impact of the climate change talks. A major area of such talks today is the agreement on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation, (REDD), which was one of the few outcomes of the Cancun talks. REDD has been described as a ‘low hanging fruit', a win-win solution for all.
