ABSTRACT

It was said in Chapter 2 that a country's energy security is determined by the dependence and vulnerability of its system of energy corridors, and by the international political context affecting energy corridors towards the country. In turn, energy policy would be designed and implemented based on the country's perception on energy security and the expected changes in energy security, taking into account the country's preferences and attitude towards risk. The interrelation of these variables in the determination of energy security and policy was summarized in Figure 2.1 (a modified version is reproduced below as Figure 5.1).
