ABSTRACT

As if it were a decision of which bricks to use in building the towers of college campuses, college admissions decisions have the power to determine the construction of higher education. ese admissions decisions are inherently actionable choices. Admissions decisions are actions. ese actions either work toward the inclusion of diversity on campuses, or, they reinforce exclusion. Diversity-and-inclusion simply cannot be manifested without contemplating the role that admissions decisions had in the process of building the campus, as if it were brick by brick, student by student.
