ABSTRACT
The Education Act 1996 gives the Special Educational Needs Tribunal jurisdiction to hear six types of appeal:
Section 329: against a refusal to make an assessment; Section 325: against a refusal to make a statement; Section 326: against the contents of a statement; Section 328: against a refusal to reassess special edu-
cational needs; Schedule 27, para. 8: against change of a named school, and Schedule 27, para. 11: against a decision to cease to maintain a
statement.
