ABSTRACT
I greatly applaud the recent initiatives of the movement for a post-autistic economics in France and the petition for reform from economics graduate students at the University of Cambridge. They are two great rays of hope in an otherwise largely disturbing intellectual scene. It is to be hoped that these initiatives can help to reverse the narrowing and over-formalization of economics that proceeded apace in the second half of the twentieth century.
