ABSTRACT

The rapid pace of development in telecommunications and computing technology has greatly changed everyday life from the mid-1980s to this day, both at work and in leisure. The information age has shifted from traditional industries to economies based on the production, collection, provision, dissemination, and manipulation of information. The transition from analogue to digital electronics has brought in new, ground-breaking technologies designed to promote, facilitate, and precipitate data processing, communication, and economic activities.
