ABSTRACT

As you begin your teaching career, there are various materials and resources to help you teach primary science. What follows is a summary of those most readily available but, inevitably, the list cannot be complete. Commercially produced schemes, for example, have not been included although it is important to recognize that some provide very good support materials which you can use to plan, organize, manage and assess science. This list includes:

associations which provide support for teaching primary science;

journals published by these associations;

some suppliers’ addresses;

sources of industry/enterprise links;

interactive science and technology centres; and,

websites.
