School improvement partnerships

In this chapter we outline a suggested framework for analysing and understanding the challenges which schools and LEAs face at the beginning of the twenty-first century, particularly in urban areas. This framework is then used to examine some of the strategies which LEAs and schools can use to respond to these challenges.
