Dudley Fitts, to Karthage then I Came…, ‘Hound and Horn'

Dudley Fitts (1904–72), educator, poet, and critic, won especial praise for his translations of Sophocles’ ‘King Oedipus’ (with Robert Fitzgerald, 1949), and Aristophanes’ ‘Lysistrata’ (1954), ‘Frogs’ (1955), and ‘Birds’ (1956).
