Philip Larkin, What's Become of Wystan?, ‘Spectator'

Larkin (b. 1922) is Librarian of the Brynmor Jones Library, University of Hull. Poet, novelist, and critic, his books include ‘Jill’ (novel, 1946), ‘A Girl in Winter’ (novel, 1947), ‘The Whitsun Weddings’ (verse, 1964), ‘High Windows’ (1974), and the ‘Oxford Book of Twentieth Century English Verse’ (ed., 1973).
