ABSTRACT
Whitehead (b. 1924) served with the Indian Army in Burma, became a solicitor in 1952, and is now legal adviser to, and director of, a major oil company. He has published three books of poetry (1945, 1946, 1951) and contributed essays and articles on literary and Eastern topics to various periodicals.
