ABSTRACT
Richard Mayne (b. 1926) is a writer, and has been Special Adviser to the President of the European Communities since 1979. His publications include ‘The Recovery of Europe’, and a translation of Jean Monnet’s ‘Memoirs’, for which he received the Scott Moncrieff Prize.
