John Fletcher (b. 1937) is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of East Anglia. His publications include ‘The Novels of Samuel Beckett’ (1964), ‘Samuel Beckett’s Art’ (1969), ‘A Critical Commentary on Flaubert’s Trois Contes’ (1968), and ‘Claude Simon and Fiction Now’ (1975).
