ABSTRACT
The Collective: Should be made up of twelve to twenty, two to three times as many men as women, with various skills: in voice, physical culture, speaking and playing.
Costume: All need a blue blouse, black trousers or skirts, black stockings and shoes. Down with naturalistic costumes, peasant shoes, blankets and birch [footwear]—folksy stuff, wigs-down with them. We use blue blouses and trousers to which things can be attached: stripes, leggings, cuffs, belts, bibs, etc.; head-gear: hats, top hats, peaked caps-to differentiate the characters.
