The teaching of examination courses is often seen as the most challenging and perhaps the most rewarding aspect of teaching. Seeing your pupils succeed in public examinations is one of the joys of the profession: a reward for all the effort you put into the learning process. The role of the teacher is very important in enabling pupils to succeed. In this chapter we will be exploring many of the key issues that you need to consider when beginning to plan effective examination preparation for your pupils.
