Cultural scanning

This teaching module introduces cultural scanning, a tool for learning how to “learn culture.” The module focuses on explaining the process of cultural scanning and the content of an “integrated framework for cultural analysis” (IFCA) which we use to discern key dimensions of a focal group’s culture. Cultural scanning promotes a proactive approach to cultural learning and systematic, deliberate cultural comparisons.
