ABSTRACT

The opening chapter, “Culture, passion, and play,” spoke of an ongoing community of colleagues engaged in dialogue and exploration of issues cultural and teachers, trainers, coaches, consultants, researchers, therapists, and practitioners. We have learned much from this community and expect to continue to learn from them in the ensuing years. Active learning is a fundamental requirement of an increasingly complex world. We are grateful to the community and expect to enlarge the dialogue through our collective work presented here. We have presented a consolidation of our insights, albeit a transitory one. While there are many, many great ideas and practical solutions embedded in this book, the text reveals that we still deal with a vast array of dilemmas in teaching a cultural perspective.
