ABSTRACT

The authors proposed to actively utilize the pressure rise phenomenon of an oil hammer and a new type of hydraulic pressure mtensifier using an oil hammer. Applicatwn of the intensifier to pressure control of a hydraulic cylini:ler has already been proposed. In this p<!J>er, the desired in put signal for pressure control is timevariable. The output pressure follows the input signal and_generates the waveform which changes the value continuously. The maximum output pressure is several times higher than the original pump pressure. The experiment and simulatwn reveal that an efficiency of about 40 % is obtained.
