ABSTRACT
We have looked at ‘change’ and how that is happening all the time in a narrative. Major changes occur within scenes: the fortunes of the protagonists have changed by the end of the scene. They may be large or small changes, emotional or material changes, etc., depending on the story you are writing and the needs of the narrative; but the characters leave the scene changed in some way.
