ABSTRACT
This chapter describes and analyses social exclusion in Sweden, its starting point being a short presentation of traditional policies and approaches to prevent social exclusion. A case study, with a focus on immigrants, then illustrates social exclusion in the Swedish context. The final section discusses new and emerging approaches and policies to combat social exclusion.
