ABSTRACT
Maintenance policy is a target-oriented practice of an organisation for the upkeep of its structures. It is a collection of targets and rules that should be considered in all the maintenance, repair and rehabilitation (MR&R) activities of the organisation. One purpose of a management system is to control in practice that the strategic targets are taken into account at all the decision-making levels related to MR&R, also taking into account the funding constraints [1].
