ABSTRACT

When I was asked to write my contribution to this book, my response was twofold. On one hand I was excited, glad about the opportunity to write about my work. On the other hand, I was wondering if there was a Jungian perspective on dance movement therapy. People like Mary Stark Whitehouse (1979), Penny Lewis (1984), Carolyn Grant Fay (McNeely 1987), and Joan Chodorow (1984, 1986, 1991) who use dance therapy in connection with Jungian principles work in the USA and I had never met them. In the UK Audrey Wethered has written on her approach as early as 1973.
