ABSTRACT
As shown in Figure 6.1, Coolangatta is Queensland’s most southerly coastal resort. Located 110 kilometres south of the state capital, Brisbane, and at the southern extremity of the Gold Coast, it stands adjacent to the New South Wales town Tweed Heads on the Tweed River. Together they have become known as the Twin Towns although the state border, a barrier now invisible, separates them.
