ABSTRACT
Here, which is to say first in this line from Louise Labé’s famous sonnet XVIII (“Baise m’encor, rebaise moy et baise”).1 But here, as well, in a volume on men in feminism to which I propose this addendum to “Femmeninism.” In particular, I want to add some notes on the “in” which articulates the phrase “Men in Feminism” and inarticulate (if you’ll permit the word) “Femmeninism.” I realize that such a proposal risks seeming to complicate things unnecessarily (but first we should ask: what exactly is the necessity of a volume titled Men in Feminism?); that is also why I have invoked at the outset Labé’s request to be permitted to think mad thoughts.
