ABSTRACT
It is, of course, not altogether clear that this area of feminist theory is not being recuperated, institutionalized, disciplined, in its turn. There are discernible within that area of academic activity networks of power, hierarchies, reputations, a whole politics amongst the women who are feminist theorists; these networks already become formally consonant with the existing institutional apparatus. Indeed, the set of relations involved there is perhaps only quantitatively different from what’s already in place; qualitatively, things are rather similar.
