Constructing the Present Past in the Anatolian Neolithic

In some societies of the Anatolian Neolithic, houses were important spatial loci in which people expressed their collective histories. They were of great significance to the identity and sense of belonging of Neolithic people. Houses then were cultural institutions in which particular forms of space and time were interlinked, and they constituted an important factor in social life in much of Neolithic Anatolia.
