This chapter addresses two interwoven themes. The first theme is concerned with how researchers generate their studies; that is, how they frame and ask questions. This theme is illustrated in the chapter by a second strand of attention: the direction, shape and future possibilities for tourism researchers in the area of tourism community relationships. The chapter will use question-asking analysis to provide some insights into tourism community research and might appeal to two audiences, those concerned with tourism questions in general and those with a specific interest in tourism community impacts.
